The Living Doll and Family ;)

No, that is not a child model I hired to beautify my portfolio.. that’s my niece 😉  I know I’m biased and all but sheesh… My sister and I get a real kick out of what a bunch of bumps she makes the rest of us look like! ha!  Seriously though, I always look forward to taking these snaps for their annual Christmas card. I LOVE taking them and I love editing them all the while sending screenshots to my sister of all the horrible outtakes 😉  And I can never wait to see which ones make the cut on the highly anticipated Shepherd Christmas card.

The sole purpose of this little get together began as getting the pics in. Then it turned out to be such a beautiful day that we decided to make it a family afternoon at Botanic Gardens. And since I had my camera and we were all together I had to snap a few cousin shots (seeing as how last time we attempted that my other niece literally screamed the entire time :P).  Although we went through a little rough patch a few months ago when all the ‘older’ cousins would constantly bicker when together, I am pleased to say that is seemingly behind us. We all just went to Disney together and they all could not have gotten along better. Not to get all sappy but seeing them all together, enjoying each other, laughing, being goofy and asking about each other the minute they’re separated is.. well, I don’t even have words. They love each other like siblings and that’s more than I ever could have asked for. I have so much love for these five little people…

The Bennetts

The good news is that I was lucky enough to have pretty little Liv in front of the camera again.. Bad news is she was just getting over being sick, cutting multiple teeth, and had her one year appointment that morning (too many shot 🙁 ). Needless to say she was not her usual sweet smiley self. But whether Liv’s 100% or 30% one thing is for sure, she’s still the cutest little baldie around 😉
Peek!Fascinating lawnmower eh?There’s a smile!

Caught in the Act

Look! I’m on the other side of the lens!

Excuse my appearance please… Number one rule in shooting newborns is CRANK UP THE HEAT!  Therefore, baby is cozy while I’m stripping layers and sweating 😉

Photo credit goes to my friend Rebecca, AKA the beautiful mama of this handsome babe I’m shooting 🙂

Thanks again!

Important Information for 2015 Clients!

First let me say, I am in the process of updating my website, so my apologies for any “under construction” pages you may come across.

Next, I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of my clients from 2014! It was my busiest year yet! And seeing as how I’ve barely slowed down from the Fall photo rush I think 2015 is gearing up to be another busy year for LSP. In order to keep things running smoothly around here I have some information to pass along to all of my prospective clients of 2015 and beyond.

  • Unless otherwise noted your images will be delivered via a downloadable gallery rather than in DVD form.
  • The turnaround time on your edited photos is 4-5 weeks. There is always a chance it could be less, but I cannot guarantee sooner than 4 weeks.
  • I will only be taking on a certain amount of shoots per month in order to guarantee my turnaround time. So if you know now that you’re going to take family photos this Summer or Fall, go ahead and book! As always keep in mind that weekend time slots are the first to fill up.
  • If you are planning to book a session this Summer/Fall with the intentions of using the photos for Holiday cards your shoot will need to take place before October 31st! The majority of my November will be spent editing. Due to heavy workload and a family vacation I will be offering an EXTREMELY LIMITED amount of November sessions. Even if you happen to snag one of those, it is highly unlikely your images will be returned in time to create Holiday cards.  If you’re looking to use your photos for Holiday cards, I suggest scheduling in August and September. Keep in mind that every year a handful of shoots have to be rescheduled due to weather, so if your shoot is October 30th and a rainy day postpones it, you will not get your photos back in time for cards.
  • If you are looking for a Newborn photo shoot, it is best to book late in your second trimester or early in your third. Newborn shoots are the lengthiest and most involved, so if you wait until your due date or when the baby is born it is likely I won’t have availability. We can book your shoot in advance based on your due date and adjust as necessary. Like I said, I am only taking on a certain number of shoots per month. So when you book your newborn shoot, although we can’t nail down an exact date, I will block out space for you.
Thanks for listening! And Happy Spring!!! 🙂
Liza
