This photo session was such an unexpected treat. First of all, the client just happened to be one of my favorite teachers from high school. So awesome to reconnect after all this time. Secondly, we happened to shoot on the most beautiful day in November. Not sure if you remember but those were very few and far between this past year… And to top it all off, his adorable family of five was so sweet and perfect. From their awesome sweater coordination all the way down to their natural modeling abilities…. Seriously, such an great day shooting. I told the P’s I needed to take some parenting tips down because they really were the sweetest most well behaved kids! Here’s hoping they’ll be back this Fall 😉
Well here it is a nice hot day in July and I am posting a shoot from one of this winter’s coldest days… My resolution this year was to start blogging, I guess next year’s resolution should be to blog in a timely manner 😉
Anyways, this past November I had the pleasure of shooting the Papanicholas family for the first time. I should have expected nothing less than the awesome coordinating outfits (bow ties and all) that they showed up in. Mama did her homework! Now one might think that photographing three rambunctious little boys would be tricky but in actuality it makes my job easy. Rather than having to “set up” poses and what not, I just got to stand back and shoot as they created photo op after photo op! Doesn’t hurt that they’re all so handsome either 😉 The worst part about this shoot was easily the single digit temp outside. But that actually turned out to be a bit of a blessing in disguise because it made for a really unique session. All in all, a truly great shoot with the Papanicholas family!
I was so happy to have the Laufenbergs back in front of the lens for their 2013 shoot. In 2012, we shot on a brisk day, this year we shot on what I’m pretty sure was the coldest weekend in November. There I was bundled up as if I were heading out on an arctic expedition and there they were in their sweaters and tights teeth-a-chattering! But looking back at the pics such seasoned pros these four are that you wouldn’t even know it was close to the single digits! I know what it can be like to get two young boys to cooperate for photos, but Graeme and Parker couldn’t have been any more cooperative or handsome! Larissa and Brent, can I go ahead and pencil you in for this August, pretty pretty please ?!? 😉Freezin’ cheesin’Troopers!HOT CHOCOLATE!!!Bein’ sweet and keepin’ warm 🙂Beautiful Mama!#FaveClients
Ah… so refreshing to look back at these images of the Piotrowski family and be reminded that perfectly mannered babies actually do exist 😉 At 6 months old Addy was so sweet and cooperative, much more so than my own little hooligans who are actually old enough to take a little direction, but just choose not to! So glad we were able to get this shoot in and finish up minutes before something close to a tornado blew through the area. Here’s hoping I get to see the Piotrowskis again in the Spring for Addy’s one year and it will be all sunshine and lots more smiles!!
Love love love reconnecting with old friends, and really LOVE meeting old friends precious new babes. 🙂 Spending the morning with sweet baby Cameron was truly a highlight of the 2013 photo season. There was no tiring this guy out, he wanted to stay present during the whole session and he did! I can’t even imagine what this little guy is up to nowadays seeing as how days into his life he was pushing himself out of boppy pillows and craning/turning/lifting his little head to keep an eye on me while I worked. He’s probably crawling now! 😉 Beautiful light, beautiful baby, beautiful family…
