Alameda/Becerra Engagement

I had been looking forward to meeting Danielle and Carlos for quite some time. And one hot, sunny July day it finally happened! Carlos was a trooper in his sweater and Danielle was as sweet as she is beautiful. Danielle’s sister Michelle gifted the couple this engagement shoot and I could not be happier she did. Shooting engagements is always such a peaceful, welcome break from chasing toddlers around 😉 It’s also always fun to get into the city for a shoot. This park imparticular is one of my absolute favorites places to shoot (the only downside is that it’s also a photographer hotspot so sometimes you have to wait your turn to get the shot…)

Thank you Danielle and Carlos for braving the heat with me! I wish you all the best in your future together and cannot wait to get a peak at what I know will be absolutely gorgeous wedding photos.

The Pastalaniec Family

I have been anxious to get back to shooting the beautiful Pastalaniecs since I walked out the door after our last shoot. Life was making it super hard for us to come together but finally the stars aligned and we made it happen. Although Amy and Brady said the littles were up at the crack of dawn and not their usual giggly, playful selves I still thoroughly enjoyed chasing them around. I mean, for one, do they not look like they all belong in a catalogue!? That sure makes things real easy. Two… Although multiples are more common nowadays than they ever used to be, you still don’t run into all that many fellow twin mamas. I hold a special place for all of you in my heart. Just keep on keepin’ on… 😉 But really, it’s just fun to watch twins from the outside looking in (while thinking to myself, we made it through that!?!)

Thank you guys for letting me be the one to capture these memories for you. Now I can’t wait to see ya in October and actually get a real conversation in! 😉

The Morkes Family

Yea! Maeve is one! I always look forward to shooting the Morkes family, and not just because they’re all so good lookin’ 😉 The real draw is seeing what kind of styling this creative mama has in store for the shoot! Seriously, Cara never disappoints and Maeve’s one year shoot was no exception. I think from now on when a client has a question about wardrobe styling I will refer them straight to Cara! And… if you find yourself admiring Cara’s impeccable visage then you should probably check out Makeup My Day. Cara is a super talented makeup artist, trust me, I’ve seen her in action 🙂

Maeve was a real trooper too! We shot straight into her bedtime and she hung in there with the best of em’ 🙂  The late summer sunsets can make for tricky scheduling when there are little ones involved. But I’m going to go ahead and say you’d have no idea from looking at the pics of this beautiful family.

Thanks Dave and Cara for letting me capture these memories for you! I can’t wait to watch Maeve cover that adorable little face with cake and frosting!!

Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes of Maeve’s One Year shoot! This living doll will be gracing the blog in the next couple of weeks! Yea!

Photo credit goes out to the mama who can do it all… style a shoot like no one’s business, entertain over my shoulder like a true goof ball and look stunning the whole dang time!?!

Thanks Cara 😉

The Nelms Family

To say editing this shoot has been a breeze would be a serious understatement. Three beautiful girls, three beautiful smiles, SO much love between them.. easy peasy 🙂 We rescheduled this shoot once in hopes of getting some beautiful evening light peeking thru the trees, but ended up with another cloudy day the second time around. We decided to just go for it and ya know what, it was perfect. The soft, diffused light turned out to be a perfect backdrop for these beautiful ladies. Now I know, when shooting Emily and her sweet girls, little things like uncooperative weather, missed naps and empty bags of gummy bears are irrelevant. The love between these three was palpable and that’s truly what makes for a successful photoshoot 🙂

Emily, the three of you are beautiful inside and out. Shooting with you was an absolute pleasure. The way your girls look at you and you back at them is heart melting. Thank you for reminding me that perfect conditions are not the most important requirement for family photos 🙂
